Diem Consulting is currently a 1-person technology consulting services company. I mostly work by word of mouth in Eastern Wisconsin, from North to South.

Jon Diem

I am an IT professional with a specialization and affinity to security. I spend most of my time either building systems or trying to poke holes in them. Most of my freetime projects are related to setting up applications to manage reptitive tasks for friends and family. Another lage portion is creating interfaces that are meant to be a utility for those that don't have the skills or time to dig down into systems.
A few examples would be:

  • Creating a simple kitchen application for managing inventory and shopping lists in a large household
  • Game server creation and administration automation tools for friends to utilize resources that would otherwise sit dormant
  • Creating VPN networks for friends behind aggressive NAT to be able to play games together that require open NAT
  • Setting up load balanced multi-WAN gateways with based on multiple 4G simcard routers and a Cisco switch with policy based routing, for high-speed rural internet alternatives (pre-Starlink)

I gained most of my experience through taking on projects for friends, family, or even trying to spearhead larger projects at my places of employment. Whether it's the physical side of security and IT, or the information side, I take pride in my work.

This site is meant to be a very basic landing page. I have a full-time job, so this is more here to provide me spare time project and a place for current contracts to view some basic information on me.
Most of my advertising comes from word of my mouth, which helps to prevent over work. I am always open to more work in Wisconsin, especially in networking or security.
